On January 1st, 2021, Cyligent and Waypoint Technology merged to form Waypoint Pathfinders, LLP (“Waypoint”). Waypoint represents a partnership between two long-time friends, Dushan and James, and their relatively young entities.

Our vision is to be a strategic partner to investment firms, an investor’s CTO that advocates for technology as portfolios expand and grow. As we each worked on deals with investment firms, we came to believe there is a better way to do technical due diligence, and what passes for “good” these days is not it. We realized that the status quo lacked certain values, so we each founded our companies to address them… having forged similar paths toward similar goals, we’ve decided to join forces.

We believe that diligence has become too templatized – a checklist-driven approach that exhibits an imperfect understanding of where value comes from. We don’t merely follow maps to buried treasure, and “X” never, ever marks the spot (hat tip to Indiana Jones). Our clients rely on us to bring clarity and provide guidance; even Indy needed a journal to help find the best path forward. We ensure that our advice is based on our experience and expertise and that our reports surface relevant technical findings in consumable language. Waypoint reports are our clients’ journals to navigate deal flow (and the inspiration for our logo).

We’re excited about what’s next… and while we work hard to help our clients choose wisely when it comes to technology investments, we’re sure to enjoy some fun and mayhem along the way.
